The Cube, althought an old computer now (born in july
2000, stopped in july 2001), stays an exceptionnal machine.
It's owners hardly replace it and many people try to find one
because it is easily upgradable (in contrary of a lot of Apple
computers).
I had the chance of buying in
june 2006 one of the 100 000 Cubes made by Apple.
The stock Cube had a G4 @ 450
MHz cpu, a ATI Rage Pro graphic card with 16 MB VRAM
and a (very noisy) Maxtor 20 GB 5400 rpm hard disk drive.
After a first upgrade in 2006
(Powerlogix G4 7457 @1,35 GHz, Radeon 7500 and 80
GB HD 7200 trpm) my Cube just had its second upgrade in april
2008 (G4 7448 @ 1,7 GHz, Radeon 8500 and 2,5" 160 GB 5400 rpm
HD).
